Anti-Nukes Protest in Indonesia

Ironic but true, a day after the Indonesian Government signs a nuclear deal with the South Korean government, a series of earthquakes and tremors rock Indonesia. Located within the highly volatile volcanic "Ring of Fire", a nuclear power plant in this archipelagic nation would mean living under the constant fear of a major nuclear disaster. Last month, I encountered a fantastic spectacle in Jepara, where over 10,000 community members turned up at a protest concert to voice their opposition to the nuclear madness. If anyone learnt any lessons from the chernobyl disaster, it was this bunch for sure. I post a selection of my photos from the rally to salute their good sense.May good sense prevail.!
